Wow… I am so envious of your Pilealted! They are my absolute favorite bird. I have only seen them twice in my life, both times while we were vacationing in northern Michigan. They are around in lower Michigan too but I haven’t been lucky enough to witness them down here… I’m keeping my eyes open though! I’ve seen a lot of photos of them at suet feeders. You should try to entice them to your yard with a suet feeder. Good luck! And keep posting more photos of them for us to see.

I love those big pileateds - We watched one totally demolish an old dead tree a few years ago. Looks like your camera is doing the job for ya!

I remember seeing these at my grandmother’s house on the Eastern shore of Maryland. Man, they’re loud when they start peckin’ !

Nice shot of the pileated - I love those guys. I watched a pileated totally demolish an old dead tree in a few short days several years ago. They mean business! Looks like the new camera is doin’ the job!
